South African Numeracy Chair Project

We are a hub of mathematical activity, passion and innovation that blends teacher, learner and community numeracy development with research in mathematics education at Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 in Makhanda. We are one of several mathematics education Chairs as part of the NRF's South African Research Chairs Initiative. Our key aims are to: improve the quality of teaching and learning in primary schools and in pre- and in-service education; research sustainable and practical solutions to the challenges of improving numeracy education; and provide leadership in the field of numeracy education locally and beyond.
