The SRC is delighted to announce that the Union Labs, in the Bantu Stephen Biko Building will now function for 24 hours a day. This change will come into effect tomorrow, Friday, 13 March 2020.
We were concerned with the fact that only one computer lab, Jacaranda, was open for 24 hours a day. This limited access made it difficult for many of us to fulfil our academic obligations. The SRC felt it necessary to negotiate with the IT division for students to receive uninterrupted access to one more lab.
We are hopeful that extending opening hours at Union labs will significantly increase our productivity as students.
