The event was a resounding success, with students donning cultural attire, indulging in various traditional foods, and participating in dynamic dance performances and engaging games.
The field was a kaleidoscope of colours as students proudly wore outfits representing their rich cultural heritage. From intricate African prints to elegant Asian ensembles, the array of attire was a testament to the multiculturalism that defines our student community. The event offered a unique opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate the traditions and customs of their peers.
To keep the festive spirit alive, various activities were organised in different colours as students proudly wore outfits representing their rich cultural heritage. Games and face painting were particularly popular, providing a fun and interactive way for students to bond and engage with one another. The laughter and joy were palpable as students participated in these activities, further strengthening the sense of community on campus.
The event's highlight was a welcoming address by Ms. Orla Quinlan, Director of the Global Engagement Division. In her speech, Ms. Quinlan encouraged students to take full advantage of the facilities and information available through her division. She emphasised the importance of embracing diversity and using the resources provided to enrich their educational experience. Ms Quinlan's words resonated with many, as she highlighted the significance of global engagement and the benefits of understanding and appreciating cultural differences.
