The workshop, to be held at the SPI, is focused on the imperative of gender empowerment and transformation in Southern African newsrooms to ensure gender equality and equity in the work place, and on practical policy steps which commercial, community and public media need to take to bring about this transformation, monitor and evaluate its implementation.
Applications should be directed to SPI Administrator Sibonise Mbengashe (S.Mbengashe@ru.ac.za) and must include the applicant’s CV, a brief outline of the approach and design of the workshop, the content to be covered during the three consecutive days of the workshop, and the assessments and evaluation methods to be used in the course. Applications should include the consulting fee sought.
