On behalf of the Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu Hall staff, we welcome you to Adamson House. We are pleased that you have joined us. We are the smallest House in the Hall, and we are ideally located on campus with a small yard, with a garden, as well as an open small square area where students can sit. Students often hang out in this area to catch up with friends. We are surrounded by trees and have a small tranquil creek surrounded by lush vegetation that runs at the back of the residence.

We are affectionately referred to by our esteemed students as the ‘Gentlemen res’.  From the day you arrive you are an integral member of our community because of the positive energy, ideas, and contributions you bring. Adamson House provides accommodation for students in a safe environment that encourages study and living. It is also a space to grow and learn tolerance and respect. This is like a home to live the feeling of independence in a family atmosphere. Adamson houses students are from a diverse array of backgrounds and represents many different identities and personalities.

We have a traditional style community, with shared bathrooms and kitchen. Our website will help you learn more about what the Adamson community offers and how you can make your residence experience the very best. Our residence (male residence) is nestled in the centre of Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 campus and our proximity is what many students appreciate about us. It is a small quite environment which is home to 60 students who enjoy the privacy of their rooms. Our house offers great opportunities for involvement, leadership development, and socializing. We strive to actively support diverse and socially just communities where all members feel safe and valued. While Adamson House does focus on active and healthy living, the Hall provides a wide variety of socials and programmes that cater to many different interests, which truly makes Adamson House a community for all!

Academic Imitativeness

Interested in forming a study group with other students? Our Academic Rep will help! One of our most important jobs is to help you be successful academically. Most students need help at some point, so do not be afraid to speak up. Being a part of this community is a great way to get started at Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网. Adamson House students study hard but also have a lot of fun at the same time.

House Committee

The House Committee welcomes input and participation from all students in the residence. Each term students hold an informal or a formal dinner. The House Committee is responsible for planning activities on behalf of all the students.
