GENERAL PROFILE:

The undergraduate courses that I teach are Research Methodology, Social institutions and inequality as well as the Sociology of Higher Education. I teach an honours course in The Sociology of Race and a master’s course in Advanced Social Theory. I am also the co- ordinator for third year Sociology.

My current PhD research is a dialectical analysis of the contradictory functions of higher education, and is based on in depth interviews with Sociology academics. . I am broadly interested in issues of knowledge production, higher education, identity, and inequalities.
