Biography
Dr Duane D. Booysen is a licensed clinical psychologist and senior lecturer in the
Department of Psychology at Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网. Dr Booysen is an NRF Y-2 Rated
Researcher and a Visiting Scholar in the School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioural Science at Emory 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网, Atlanta, GA. Dr Booysen’s primary
research investigates the effectiveness, acceptability, and feasibility of empirically
supported trauma-focused psychotherapies for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
in Low- and middle-income countries. In addition, Dr Booysen also explores topics
related to traumatic stress and public mental health and uses methodologies and
designs ranging from mixed methods, implementation science, and experimental
research designs.

the Trauma Centre for Survivors of Violence and Torture in Cape Town (Research),
Eastern Cape Department of Health (Research), and the Assumption Development
