Leon Hermans works as an Associate professor on water policy analysis at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of TU Delft and at IHE Delft. At IHE Delft Leon is also the Head of the Land and Water Management Department. Leon’s research interests are monitoring and evaluation to support adaptive water management and the use of actor and strategy models to support water governance. He has recently been leading research projects on water and urbanizing deltas in Asia and the Netherlands. Currently he is
co-leading an international project on water transformation pathways planning and an international study on water allocation institutions. Earlier, he has worked on projects in various countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Leon is an experienced supervisor of BSc, MSc and PhD students as well as postdoc researchers, and has been involved in different roles in course development, curriculum development and various forms of teaching and trainings for professionals.
