Flavie Cernesson is a full professor at AgroParisTech. After her study in water sciences and technologies engineering, she realised her PhD in hydrological modelling. She is currently co-director of the Water and Agriculture Master and head of the “Water” teaching & research unit at AgroParisTech. Her courses deal mainly with hydrology and modelling for the diagnosis and evaluation of the implementation of local water management policies, as well as for the design of works. She develops pedagogy by projects and case studies. She is part of the Joint research unit “Territories, Environment, Remote Sensing, Spatial Information” (TETIS). She is a senior specialist in Hydrological modelling. Her expertise and research interests are related to: (i) interdisciplinary approaches to linking hydrology and water management, (ii) hydrology and land use /land cover in rural or urban areas, (iii) hydrological metrics and river water quality. She was involved in two international research and cooperation projects in Asia and in Brasil. Currently, she is involved in a French research program about environmental impacts of cities in alluvial plains around the world. She is a member of the board of the Unesco Center ICIREWARD.
