Valance Wessels was born in Grahamstown. After completing Matric at Graeme College in 1999 he moved to East London for career opportunities. In 2001, he joined Mercedes Benz South Africa, where he worked for eight years as a Public Relations Assistant in the Human Resources Division. Valance was appointed to the position of Administrative Assistant in the Institute of Social and Economic Research, Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 in 2009, and became Office Administrator in 2011.

Valance holds a Certificate in Essentials of Digital Media Manangement (2019), a Certificate in Project Management (2016), a Certificate in Supervision (2012) as well as a Certificate in Office Administration(2010).
