Dr Laura Alfers of NALSU and WIEGO will be a panellist at the South African Communist Party’s upcoming webinar on “Public Childcare: Essential for Gender Equality” webinar on 11 November 2020 at 16h00-18h00. She will be presenting on women workers in the informal economy, and the importance of public child care in improving their incomes and conditions of work. The other panellists are Dibolelo Mahlatsi and Mark Waller. The webinar is part of the Josie Mpama Gender Equality Series.
