Digital Media

Overview 

The Digital Media specialisation is designed to give students an in-depth practical and theoretical understanding of new media technology and its impact on the media industry, journalism and society as a whole. The specialisation offers learners an advanced introduction to new media praxis. The course covers digital journalism for multiple platforms, multimedia, online production, and management of new media enterprises for the wired and wireless Internet. Students undertake a number of practical projects for the course  (including online videography, audio slideshows, data-driven journalism, podcasting, and  basic HTML and CSS coding) while remaining critical and reflective regarding the impact of ICT on journalism and society.
