Aims and Objectives

Richards Bay Minerals operations may compromise environmental water quality, and subsequent ecological health, of surface waters in or near their current operations. In on-going assessments to establish the current environmental water quality states of surface waters in the Richards Bay Minerals Smelter Site area and the Zulti South lease area, detailed biomonitoring studies have been initiated, incorporating macro-invertebrates, diatoms and selected water quality parameters.
