Our PhD student, Notiswa Libala presented at the National Indaba on Ecological Infrastructure for Water Security hosted by the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) at the Development Bank of Southern Africa’s Vulindlela Conference Centre in Midrand, Gauteng. The session was more focused on investments in ecological infrastructure for water security and catchment level collaborations with social and economic impact. She gave a talk on Participatory governance as a channel to support sustainability and achieve NLEIP vision. On the last day of Indaba the Minister of Water and Sanitation Gugile Nkwinti launched the R90-million Ecological Infrastructure for Water Security project.
