ISER Honours Class 2024
ISER Honours Class 2024

The last day with the ISER Honours students of 2024 was a day full of excitement and nerves. The students were no doubt nervous as they were presenting their final portfolio exam while also excited that the presentations signalled the end of the Honours year. Nerves aside, the presentations went off well and we were happy to glean from a wide range of topics that were presented. Having gone through a steep learning curve from engaging in economic theory, delving into discussions on early grade reading and water policy legislation in South Africa to learning statistical software, the students have definitely gone through a metamorphosis since we first met at orientation. A highlight of the day was experiencing the students engage and, in many ways, defend their final policy brief portfolio exam during which their growth and knowledge gain through the year was evident. The afternoon ended with a finger lunch, many pictures and hearty discussions in the ISER seminar room.
