Two UK-SA Newton Fund opportunities are now open for calls for applications.
Research Collaboration Programme
Managed by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the South African National Research Foundation, the main focus of the Newton Research Collaboration Programmeis to support the aims of the Newton Fund by facilitating international exchanges lasting three months to a year between researchers in the UK and their counterparts in South Africa. The call is open until 18 July 2015. International PhD Partnering Scheme
Funding is available from both RCUK and NRF to support partnering activities between UK and South African Research Organisations at the PhD level. Awards will be made to support activities over a three-year period, with a minimum of 10 PhD placements being supported by each RO award holder. The duration of each placement is expected to be 3-6 months; with flexibility to split the placement into several shorter visits. Full proposals should be submitted by 9 July 2015.
