Mr. Pelele Lehloenya is a registered professional natural scientist with SACNASP and member of the Geological Society of South Africa. He holds an MSc in Geology (老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 of the Free State) and a BTech in Project Management, Cum Laude (Central 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 of Technology). He has a kin interest in mineralogy and petrology.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the management and administration of technical services to the department. This includes managing the staff and the infrastructure in the thin section laboratory, plus associated laboratories, workshops, undergraduate teaching facilities and the vehicle pool within the department. Also responsible for monitoring the general infrastructure of the department.
Research
Master’s Degree research project: Chemical and isotopic variations in plagioclase across the transition between the Main and Upper
zones, western Bushveld Complex.
Honours Degree research project: Distribution of mercury amongst co-existing silicates within the Bushveld Complex in South Africa
(published).
