The GIPCA 2ND LIVE ART FESTIVAL took place in Cape Town from 27 August to 7 September 2014. The festival was selected in 2012 by the Sunday Independent as one of the five top arts events in South Africa. Live Art “brings together a range of artists from the fields of visual arts, dance, theatre, music, architecture and literature.” Featuring artists from across South Africa as well as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, United States, Cameroon, Nigeria, Netherlands and Ghana, the Festival took take place in various spaces at UCT’s Hiddingh Campus, the Cape Town City Hall and several clubs in and around Green Point.
This year FPTC was invited to perform Moyikwa’s Caught, which debuted at the DETOURS festival in May 2014 (see Recent events, DETOURS FESTIVAL).
