Students' Organisation for Animal Rights (SOAR - previous known as ROAR) aims to foster an understanding of the broader impact of our lifestyle choices. It supports local groups such as the Grahamstown SPCA, Feral cats and the Donkey Clinic. SOAR encourages more conscious eating habits, asserting that the way we eat affects not only the lives and wellbeing of animals, but our health and the environment too. Students are encouraged to participate in their weekly SPCA visits, and other animal rights activities.
