Teaching and Research Interests:

Dr Njovane is an Andrew Mellon early career scholar whose primary areas of research include trauma theory, childhood, psychoanalysis, political philosophy, critical race theory, feminisms, and higher education. She is currently working on her first monograph which is tentatively titled Trauma and Childhood in Contemporary African Fiction.

Some of her work is with the Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 Centre for Higher Education Research, Teaching and Learning (老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网) and the African Studies Centre, where she is a researcher, Early Career Officer and Gender and Diversity Officer. Njovane is the co-director of the transcontinental interdisciplinary platform, Finding Africa.
