James Fourie

Set Builder and Workshop Supervisor

James joined the Rhodes Drama department in 2018.

With a background in architectural design and construction James has worked as a freelance architectural draughtsman and been involved in building renovation and construction doing much of the carpentry work himself. Bringing these design and carpentry skills to the set building of the drama department has been a natural and satisfying progression.

He is also a musician, playing guitar and composing instrumental music for a small ensemble. He is a co-founder of the Makhanda / Grahamstown Acoustic Café.
