Welcome prospective students of Desmond Tutu Hall. If you are confused about where to go, what to do, what to bring etc. than you are in the right place.

This page will assist you will all the information you need. Below please find “what to/ not to bring” with you to the residence.

What TO Bring:

1. Laptop
2. Computer
3. Formal / Evening Attire (for Welcome and Leavers’ Dinners, i.e. Men - jackets and ties, Women - formal dresses, skirts, etc.)
4. Irons
5. Kettle with tray
6. Torch

What NOT To Bring:

1. Immersion Heaters
2. Private Fridges
3. Dry-Vacs
4. Cooking Appliances (i.e: Microwaves, Toasters, etc)
5. Pets
