The Critical Studies in Sexualities and Reproduction research programme is offering a bursary of R100 000 to a student wishing to study full-time towards a PhD. Successful candidates will conduct research in the broad area of the research programme (see further details below) and will contribute to the administration of the research programme (minimum of six hours per week during term time). The successful candidate will join a team of researchers studying alcohol use during pregnancy. In particular, s/he will research how women, and their partner/family member, with children diagnosed with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome narrate the journey of their pregnancy.
Candidates must have a good pass in a relevant Social Science Master’s degree. A background in discursive and/or narrative research will be distinct advantage. To apply, please send the following documentation to the project administrator, on cssradmin@ru.ac.za on or before 23 September 2016:
