The Lovedale Collection was first deposited in the Cory Library in 1961 by the Mission Council of the Free Church of Scotland. The Lovedale Collection offers a comprehensive coverage of the history of the Lovedale Missionary Institution including the Lovedale Press. Read more

Cory Library is the official custodian of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa archives. The archives include material relating to Methodism in Southern Africa and most of the material date back from as far as the early nineteenth century. Read more

The George Cory slide collection is part of Sir George Cory’s large and varied research collection that he donated to Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 Library. 270 lantern glass slides were made to accompany his public lectures, on Eastern Cape history and the 1820 Settlers days of the Eastern Cape. Grahamstown Training College Archive Collection
The Grahamstown Training College Archive Collection was deposited in the Cory Library in 1976/7 by the last Principal, Mrs BA Wright (nee Pilson), after the final closure of this educational institution in 1975. Read more

Villon films collections
Peter Davis, a film producer and director became deeply involved in the anti-apartheid movement. The Villon collection spans issues as government, history, apartheid period of South African history among other keywords/titles.
Villon licenses stills and footage material to a wide variety of users in the film and television sector, education, academia, museums and galleries, and for personal research.
