Community-老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 Partnerships
Community-老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 partnerships are the foundation of Higher Education Community Engagement (CE).
Community-老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 partnerships describe the ongoing, critical and open relationship that exists between the 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 and its departments and divisions, and the various community members and organisations that reside in the city and have vested interest in 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网’s activity.
Universities exist to create and share knowledge, and to use this knowledge to facilitate actions that can positively impact communities. 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网-community partnerships are leveraged to mutually pinpoint and define community challenges, brainstorm solutions and projects, exchange resources, tackle socio-economic and environmental issues, and nurture spaces for mutual growth and learning.
Central to these partnerships is the principle of reciprocity which ensures that both the academic institutions and the community equally contribute to and benefit from the collaboration.
Universities contribute academic expertise, research facilities, and students keen on gaining practical experience. Community partners offer invaluable local knowledge and real-world contexts where academic theories are applied, enhancing both the relevance of academic research and the educational experiences of students through hands-on learning and civic engagement.
What makes successful partnerships?
* Criticial communication and a shared vision for development and partnership between the university and community partners.
* Building and maintaining trust - partnerships rely on mutual respect and a shared understanding of each contributor's knoweldge and expectations.
* Sustained commitment from all involved to ensure continuity and success of the initiatives, even as personnel and institutional priorities evolve.
