Qualifications:
Rene holds a DPhil in Public Administration from Nelson Mandela 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网.

Dr Oosthuizen coordinates Engaged Research across the 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网, as well as supervises Comminity Engagement postgraduate researchers. She is also the coordinator of the High School Tutoring programme. 

Dr Oosthuizen was previously employed as Academic Dean of the School of Disaster Management at Stenden South Africa. Before that she was employed as lecturer in the Department of Politics and Governmental studies at Nelson Mandela 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 as well as in the Department of Public Management at Tshwane 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 of Technology (TUT). Dr. Oosthuizen has also worked as a researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Governance at NMU and at the SABC.
