About Siyabulela Nomoyi
Siyabulela Nomoyi, born and bred in Makhanda - lives in Cape Town. He holds an Honours degree majoring in Pure Mathematics and Statistics from Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网. In his quest to link the mathematics theory to practical, he studied for a Master of Philosophy degree in Mathematics of Finance at the 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 of Cape Town. He has 13 years of investment management experience.
As a Quantitative Analyst at the beginning of his career in 2011, he researched, developed new investment strategies, and managed and improved strategies in multi-asset funds, absolute return funds and smart-beta funds at Taquanta Asset Managers.
Driven by his success and passion, he joined Sygnia Asset Management as an Investment Analyst. He later became a Portfolio Manager, largely managing index tracker funds and eventually became Head of Index Management.
He is now a Quantitative Portfolio Manager at Satrix. In his role, he manages the first-ever South Africa’s ETF business for the organisation. He focuses on quantitative research and management of proprietary factor indices and tracker funds through ETFs, unit trusts, segmented funds, UCITS and passive multi-asset funds.
His biggest love is personal finance; educating the next generation of investors and engaging enthusiasts who are keen on following a career in Finance, in line with Satrix's strategy, which pioneered and democratised investments in South Africa
