Bongiswa completed her BTech qualification in Environmental Management 2017, majored in Environmental Management, particularly on environmental resources and water quality management. She was a CBC DST-NRF Intern for 2018/19. Currently, she works as a research assistant, rearing and maintaining insect populations of Plutella xylostella (Diamondback moth) and Thaumatotibia leucotreta (False codling moth) to meet the needs of researchers to accommodate their research work.
