Andile Mtotywa

Dr. Matolwandile Mtotywa is a senior lecturer and coordinator for the postgraduate diploma in advancement and resource mobilisation (PGDip ARM).  He lectures Quantitative Decision-Making and Value Creation Through Artificial Intelligence in MBA, Research for Advancement, as well Responsibility and Accountability in Advancement (monitoring and evaluation practices), and Operations Management in the Postgraduate Diploma in Enterprise Management (PGDip EM).

His expertise and research interests are in decision-making with data and technology, focusing on the intersection of business, society, and technology. Previously, Dr. Mtotywa worked in academia as an adjunct lecturer and research supervisor at the Tshwane School for Business and the Society and Wits School of Business. Spent about 20 years in the industry to Executive Management Level (mining, manufacturing) and management and research consultancy (public, private, and non-governmental). Conducted business locally and internationally in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Central and Latin America.

Dr. Mtotywa is a published author with more than 20 peer-reviewed international journals, conference papers, and articles, including a research book, Conversations with Novice Researchers. He supervises PhD, MCom, and MBA candidates in decision science, artificial intelligence, and operations management and has already graduated about 50 Master's students.
