Lili Marie Flax, currently registered to do her masters in biochemistry at Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 is the newest member of the BioBRU group. Her research focuses on the effects of HIV on the expression of STIP1 in common South African cancers.
As a 2018 Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Lili was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to the MRF Leadership workshop, in Cape Town. The focus of the course was to empower young innovative Africans to take ownership of their skills and use them for the betterment of their respective fields. The group benefited from the wisdom of many well-known South African and international leaders including Shaun Johnson, Pie-Pacifique Kabalira-Uwase, Rebecca Stykes and Professor Njabulo Ndebele.
