Dr Stephen Olusegun Titus
Olusegun Stephen Titus is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Music, Obafemi Awolowo 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网, Nigeria. He obtained a PhD degree in African Musicology/ Ethnomusicology from the 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 of Ibadan, Nigeria. His work focuses on musical narratives on climate change, space and place, musical narratives on insects (honeybee) urban spaces, performance studies. ecomusicology, migration, trafficking, internally displaced Persons, medical musicology, and peacebuilding. He is a Fellow at IFRA-Nigeria, A. G. Leventis Program, Carson, LMU Munich Germany and the American Council of Learned Society under the African Humanities Program of the Carnegie Corporation New York. While at Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网, he will be working on a paper titled “Singing as Protest: Egbesu Protest Songs on Oil Exploitation in Niger Delta, Nigeria” and also working on a joint paper publication with Professor Ruth Simbao on the title “Audacity of Place: Musical and Visual Artistic Narratives of Oil, Plastic Wastes and Land Degradation In Ghana And Nigeria.”
