Lifang Zhang is currently a PhD student in Art History and a fellow at the Arts of Africa and Global Souths research programme. Her PhD thesis focuses on the use of found materials in art and artistic engagements with urban spaces in Harare. She obtained her Master’s degree in African Literature at the Department of Asian and African Languages & Literatures at Peking 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 in 2017 and her Master's degree in Art History at the Fine Art Department at Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 in 2019.

Her interests include; contemporary arts of Africa; art and city; art and literature engagements between Africa and China; geopolitics and knowledge production; etc.
